Some discounts reflect missed games or a changing depth chart. Others come from a category line the market has yet to price fully, such as steals with assists or blocks from a guard. Each write-up explains the upside and the risk that could close the gap.

Kevin Porter Jr. (MIL) — Round 10–11; rotation risk; Yahoo ADP 118.7; Yahoo pre-rank 134; our rank 96. Late assists are hard to find without accepting a serious flaw, and Porter is no exception. Last season's 7.4 assists and more than two steals per game give him a much higher category ceiling than most players near Yahoo's pre-rank of 134. The risk is earning enough time to reproduce them: he was inactive by coach's decision October 7, then logged four assists and two steals in 18 minutes October 11. Milwaukee has other guards who need the ball, so our Top 150 rank is not a recommendation to ignore the rotation risk. I would consider him in rounds ten or eleven after securing dependable starters. His 38-game season and 2.9 turnovers explain why this is a speculative pick, particularly useful in punt-turnovers or eight-category formats rather than a safe answer for every roster. Norman Powell (CHI) — Round 9–10; scoring value; Yahoo ADP 92.4; Yahoo pre-rank 115; our rank 82. Powell belongs here because a late pick can buy established scoring, not because he has suddenly become a complete category player. His previous season produced 21.7 points and 2.7 threes, useful production if your early selections emphasized passing, rebounds or defensive stats. He scored 17 points in 19 minutes October 9 and came off the bench October 11. That starting-lineup uncertainty is important: Chicago can use his offense without necessarily giving him the same workload every night. I would not turn a strong exhibition into a minutes guarantee. Yahoo's pre-rank of 115 sits considerably later than our board's 82, making rounds nine or ten a sensible area to look. Brandin Podziemski (GSW) — Round 9; modest upside; Yahoo ADP 116.8; Yahoo pre-rank 99; our rank 95. Podziemski is an opportunity pick with a relatively useful floor, not a massive disagreement with Yahoo. He started October 10 and contributed seven rebounds and four assists in 26 minutes. That broad supporting role is what I want from a later guard: last season's 5.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals came with only 1.6 turnovers. He can complement a high-usage scorer without demanding that your roster absorb another large turnover penalty. The current pre-rank of 99 is already close to our 95, so the edge is modest and disappears if you reach several rounds. Around round nine he is worth considering; a later fall is better. Tari Eason (HOU) — Round 11; bench upside; Yahoo ADP 117.1; Yahoo pre-rank 132; our rank 120. Eason does not need to win a starting job to help a category team. Across the October 9 and 11 exhibitions he played 24 and 22 minutes, collecting nine and six rebounds. The activity is encouraging, but the case should not hinge on repeating one big scoring night. Last season's 6.3 rebounds and 1.2 steals explain the fantasy attraction, while 41.6% shooting warns against treating an athletic forward as an automatic FG% helper. Houston's crowded rotation still puts a ceiling on the minutes you can safely assume. Yahoo's pre-rank of 132 leaves room to take a measured late gamble rather than pay for a breakout in advance. I like him around round eleven, especially after a stable core or in punt-FG%. Keep the roster spot flexible if the regular-season role is smaller than hoped. Draymond Green (GSW) — Round 12–13; punt-points fit; Yahoo pre-rank 192; our rank 131. A player can be a sleeper because managers stop wanting his particular strengths, even when everyone knows his name. Green's 5.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds last season came with just 8.4 points, making him a much better fit for punt-points than for a roster short on scoring. He supplied five assists and seven rebounds in 23 minutes on October 10. That is an illustration of the category mix, not evidence that his prime production is returning. Yahoo lists him 192nd, substantially later than our 130; there is no verified ADP attached to this addition. I would use a round-twelve or round-thirteen pick if frontcourt passing completes the build. Immanuel Quickley (TOR) — Round 7–8 target; Yahoo ADP 97.0; Yahoo pre-rank 69; our rank 63. Quickley is a useful answer when your roster needs assists but cannot absorb another high-turnover guard. His 5.9 assists against 1.5 turnovers last season came with 2.5 threes and 1.3 steals. On October 10 he made five threes and handed out four assists without a turnover in 19 minutes. Do not project that shooting percentage forward. The more useful question is whether he can retain a productive mix of passing and off-ball shooting alongside Toronto's other creators. Kawhi Leonard's arrival makes a major usage jump less necessary to the offense and less sensible to assume in a projection. Yahoo lists Quickley 69th, well ahead of the September ADP of 97. What a sleeper actually is
A sleeper is a player whose useful production can cost less than it should in your draft room. These candidates combine a plausible role with categories worth buying at the stated range. A gap between Yahoo's ordering and our Top 150 is a starting point for that decision, not proof of a bargain.
Some gaps reflect healthy skepticism about missed games or a crowded rotation. Others persist because draft rooms lag behind a player's changed role or overlook categories such as steals, blocks and low turnovers. The notes identify the risk instead of treating every gap as a guaranteed bargain.
How to use this list
Choose the kind of value your roster needs. Kevin Porter Jr. is a risky assists-and-steals pick, Norman Powell supplies scoring, Brandin Podziemski contributes across several categories, Tari Eason offers bench-role upside, and Draymond Green fits teams that already have enough points. Their weaknesses matter as much as the discount.
Quickley, Bane, Michael Porter Jr. and Sarr offer established category production. Their current pre-ranks leave room relative to our board, although the gap is modest for Bane and Quickley. Use the buying range rather than reaching to our projected rank. ADP is historical where available; no average is invented for Green. Give role evidence more weight than preseason shooting percentages.
When a promising player is not a bargain
Good players are not necessarily sleepers. Yahoo places Jamal Murray, Lauri Markkanen and Austin Reaves prominently enough that you should expect to pay for their production. Murphy, White, Daniels, Alexander-Walker, Okongwu and Rollins also attract draft-room attention. Treat an actual fall as an opportunity, not something the roster plan depends on.
Sheppard's shooting is interesting, but Yahoo's pre-rank of 56 asks for more than our projection. Suggs' unresolved illness weakens the immediate buying case. Either could make sense at a sufficient discount; neither deserves a reach simply because the category upside is attractive.
A possible rotation opening does not automatically create a bargain. Black's ankle-related absence requires more reassurance than a practice update, while Maluach's Yahoo position already carries a substantial development premium. Apply the same price and availability checks to speculative players as to established starters.

How many sleepers should I actually draft?
There is no quota. Match the category need and actual price, and avoid stacking uncertain rotations or availability bets. A smaller shortlist is better than labeling every possible draft fall a sleeper.
Why does Yahoo pre-rank sometimes disagree with ADP?
Public pre-rank is an ordering, while ADP summarizes selections from drafts. They are different signals, and these snapshots have different dates. September ADP may understate today’s cost after preseason news. Use your live room rather than assume a player will last to that average.
